HOLLAND TOUR
On behalf of History for the Curious, we are excited to share with you details of our upcoming trips to Holland 27th – 30th April or 15th-18th June.
Our tour will have exclusive access to the Portuguese Winter shul outside of hours. We will also visit the 17th century cemetery with highly unusual history and tombstones and take a tour of the former Jewish Quarter including the Jewish house where Rembrandt lived
The pedestrian town which is the location of the oldest Talmud Yerushalmi and other precious manuscripts. And a stop at the old synagogue as well as Amsterdam's famous tulips and cheese.
The Escher Museum as well as the Mauritshuis Art Musuem where Vermeer's Girl with a Pearl Earing is located. We will also cover the darker element of The Hague: Spinoza, the Holocaust and the ICJ.
As usual, our international speakers will be Rabbi Aubrey Hersh - who will be guiding and discussing the history alongside Rabbi Akiva Tatz – who will be challenging the audience to do some lateral thinking.
Our maximum is 30 people and the tour is open to any age range.
Our accommodation is at a premier brand new 4* hotel, where every guest will be in a suite. The hotel has 2 kosher restaurants on location, which will fcailitate our customes order fully catered meals. For more details about kashrus or for any food requirements, please email us.
